Visualisation is a very effective means of giving prospective buyers the confidence to invest in a project. However, much of the industry still use 2D static images to promote building and landscape projects. 'The Dream Home' is the exploration of a living, breathing environment down to the most minute detail. It houses a number of internal modification systems that have been integrated to allow users to customise the colour schemes, the surfaces, the TV channels and even the tint of the cars in the driveway. Product information can be accessed by interacting with certain objects in the scene and notable functionality includes full access to the internet from within the application.
 

We have also been looking into the process of developing a system that translates BIM (Building Information Modelling) data into 3D environments that allow the user to click a button and change the transparency of solid objects, such as walls, to see pipework and wiring that are normally hidden from view.
